Tweed Sand Bypassing App to be Retired
The Tweed Sand Bypassing (TSB) smartphone app will be decommissioned at the end of September 2026.
TSB remains committed to providing timely and transparent information to the community and is currently enhancing the functionality of the TSB website to improve access to operational, monitoring and project information. The TSB website will continue to provide updates on sand pumping and dredging activities, including sand delivery volumes, entrance condition maps, operational updates, project news and other information about the project.
Recent community survey results also identified social media as one of the most commonly used sources of project information for many community members. As a result, TSB will continue to strengthen its digital communications through the TSB Instagram account, @tweedsandbypassing, ensuring the community can continue to access timely project news, operational updates and key notifications.
As part of this transition, access to surf and beach camera feeds will no longer be available through the TSB app. Community members can continue to access beach and surf camera services through a range of alternative providers, including the City of Gold Coast App and platforms such as Swellnet, which offer both free and subscription-based options.
TSB appreciates the support of app users over the years and encourages the community to stay connected through the TSB website and Instagram channel for the latest project information and updates.
